Student Representative Council or in summary SRC (MPP) is the main representative body of students at the MARA University of Technology and was established in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 of Part 3 of Laws of Malaysia Act 174 of the Education Institutions (Discipline) Regulations 1976. The member selection of the MPP is of the student’s voice in campus election held once a year.
Student Representative Council 2011/12 UiTM Shah Alam Session consist of 52 members of the committee that the participation of 26 faculties in UiTM Shah Alam, including the two satellite campuses-Puncak Perdana and Puncak Alam. All the selective members are students who have been entrusted to represent students of their faculties and to bring the more generic UiTM Shah Alam. The council is headed by the President or widely known as Yang Dipertua (YDP) Mohd Farid Zuhri Bin Ismail, assisted by Vice President or known as Naib Yang Dipertua (NYDP) Tunku Nashrul Bin Tunku Abaidah and also by the Executive council of other MPP and Exco where it makes a total of 50 people.
In addition to that, the MPP has also been accounted for as a representative to the international UiTM Shah Alam as an ambassador. Various activities and programs either alone or co-operation among the organizers have been done as community service activities, sports, academics as well as get involve with local government bodies, state and federal directly or indirectly, including quasi-governmental bodies and non-governmental organizations. |

"Assalamualaikum w.b.t and a very good day. Good news to all UiTM Shah Alam students! For this new coming semester, we are expecting to welcome new students intake scheduled on June 2012. To join, kindly fill in a form for this event. The Form can be downloaded here and please prepare a piece of your picture to be inserted with the form. Once your form is completed, please submit it before or on January 6th 2012 to Student Representative Council administrative office at level 4, Budisiswa Building or submit it directly to any members of Executive Caretaker (EC) or known as Elect Student Representative Council in person. Your interest and cooperation is deeply appreciated. All DEGREE student are welcomed to join MDS June 2012."

To the new student we the SRC (Student Representative Council) would like to congratulate and welcome you to UiTM. You have chosen UiTM to further your studies and made a choice that we all have to make in our life. But once a choice or decision has been made, the next step is to face it and treat it as a task that must be accomplished and done it well. To do this, it requires a wide range of qualities, some you already have, and others you will soon develop while studying at UiTM. You had already overcome the first hurdle - getting in to UiTM. Now that you are here, the next hurdle before you is to excel in your courses and extracurricular activities and complete your studies with ace. Success at university not only depends on gaining knowledge and memorizing facts but it also depends on how well you can use the knowledge that you gain. Seek a balance between your studies and leisure/relaxation time and finally, we wish you a good health, good luck and a lot of fun in your study at UiTM.
